This is a non profit website set up to put on display some of the more interesting station wagons from Japanese manufacturers that are on sale in the US, Japan, the UK and the rest of the world.
The rise of the SUV and crossover vehicles – particularly in the American marketplace have caused a decline in the traditional station wagon, with most car manufacturers diversifying into these alternatives. Unfortunately the high centre of gravity and ungainly proportions of SUV’s make driving a chore, and the more car like dynamics of the station wagon combined with its load carrying capacity mean they can often be the ideal compromise car, and are still seen for sale across the rest of the world, particularly in Europe where they still sell in strong numbers.
This website has a look at the station wagons still offered in markets across the planet, with all the usual Japanese manufacturers featured: Lexus & Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Subaru, Mitsubishi.
